Why choose one burger when you can have 3 or 4 smaller ones?

Yup, that sounds like food heaven to me too. You can imagine my delight then when this surprise was explained to me by the lovely people from ATE Street Food. I originally ordered only one.

If you’ve read my London street food reviews before, you’ll know I struggle with choice. So being able to select a few instead of making the tough decision of narrowing it down to one was perfect.

I still had a tough time picking mind you…

Decisions, decisions, decisions… The Ate Street Food menu

In the end I went for BBQ Pulled Pork, Braised Ox Cheek and Indian Pulled Lamb. And I wasn’t disappointed.

Sliders, Ate Street Food
As you can see I don’t have the steadiest of hands!

All of the meats seemed to melt on my tongue while the accompanying ingredients provided crunch and zing. And all of that encased in perfectly toasted brioche buns – you can see the sheen on the top! I really couldn’t pick a favourite I loved them all.

Sliders aren’t a new thing by any means. But you’ll certainly find more of the sliders bigger brother the burger in London, which makes ATE Street Food’s menu a little more unique.

I was feeling stuffed by the end of the second slider truth be told. But its better to be full and satisfied than disappointed that it didn’t quite hit the spot. I still ate the third slider of course!

It may be street food but you have to admit they wouldn’t look out of place in a fancy little restaurant. Little gourmet burgers stacked beautifully from fresh ingredients. Just look at those perfectly toasted bun marks!

For me, ATE Street Food have set a benchmark for street food in London for quality and value for money. Pretty impressive considering they celebrated their first birthday a month ago. I bought three sliders for £7 or you can buy four for £9.

Did I mention they do private parties, events and weddings? Anyone wanna get married just so we can book them?

Find out where ATE Street Food is next in London (with their cool Citroën Hvan named Apollo) by following them on Twitter and Facebook! Oh and ATE stands for A Taste Experience in case you wondered like I did (they’re not just simply stating the obvious!).

That’s right, this is their kitchen!

Have you tried ATE Street Food? Is this the coolest street food kitchen you’ve seen? Which is better, a few sliders or one big burger? Tell me in the comments section below!
