Bunsmiths Review, The Miller Pub | Great Burgers At A Pub
A pub that does amazing burgers. You read that right. This. Changes Everything.
Free chips or salad with your burger Monday to Thursday.
Sandwich board. You have my complete and undivided attention.
Too be honest, Bunsmiths’ burgers don’t need any extra incentive to try.
Just reading ‘x hour slow cooked’ anything makes my tongue salivate. The Bunsmiths’ menu at The Miller Pub has not one but two mentions of this…
Beef Brisket is quickly becoming my favourite meat. After loving the at Red Dog American Sandwiches (review) I didn’t hesitate to order the beef brisket bun (£8.50), 10 hour smoked beef brisket, BBQ sauce, lettuce fried and shallots.
Tender, juicy and melt in the mouth, it must be something to do with the fat content in brisket. Bunsmiths cook their beef brisket for 10 hours. That BBQ sauce puts it over the top.
I’ve added the beef brisket bun to my best gourmet burgers in London list.
And I was back for a second visit (of course I was), this time to try the pulled pork bun (£7.50), 12-hour hickory smoked pork, slaw, chipotle mayo, BBQ mustard sauce and lettuce.
I’ve developed a love hate relationship with pulled pork. Done right, it’s up there with beef brisket as my favourite types of meats. Criminally, some still over cook it and it ends up dry and stringy.
I’m happy to say Bunsmiths is the former. Again, the accompanying sauces make it stand out from the competition. Oh, and the chips are pretty great too.
Located a few minutes away from London Bridge station, The Miller Pub is a great place to have a drink too. I love the fun decor and there are benches outside, perfect when summer rolls around (my body is ready).
