I could have happily watched Flat Planet make their food all day.

Initially attracted by a staff member making flat bread in the window as I passed by on the street, I was hypnotised watching their flat bread oven/wizardry in action. In goes uncooked flat bread with toppings, out the other end comes a slate of deliciousness.

Once I shook myself out of my haze, it was time to look at the menu. Their menu of flatbread toppings won’t overwhelm anyone, yet covers many different tastes. Perfect for indecisive me.

I opted for the most expensive (go hard or go home), the Club flat bread for £9. Tender chicken, goats cheese, creamy sauce, hint of chilli on a thin flat bread which was coated in a herby tomato paste. It also had, what they dubbed, ‘expensive’ chorizo (this made my decision for me as I love chorizo).

The difference was noticeable too. Much thinner and much easier to rip apart, unlike the cheap chorizo from supermarkets which are more akin to beef jerky.

Flat planet has a sort of trendy coffee vibe to it – very relaxed atmosphere. There’s also plenty of room with comfy leather seats downstairs where I sat too.

While you wait, you can read a book. I recommend one about free climbing in L.A. There’s also a piano with a sign that says ‘play me’ (I would give anything to be able to).

Ah, flat breads. All the pleasure of a pizza without the guilt.
