Kitchen Trotter Review | Travel The World In A Box
Travel and taste the world with a foodie monthly subscription box from Kitchen Trotter.
One of the reasons I love to travel (and there are many) is being able to try new foods and cuisines.
Wouldn’t it be great to ‘travel’ around the world and learn to make local dishes without breaking the bank?
That’s where Kitchen Trotter save your bank account. For just £29.99 a month, Kitchen Trotter will send you box full of ingredients and inspiration.
Each month, Kitchen Trotter focus on a mystery country. Included in the box is a superb booklet which is your guide to the country and ingredients. There are clues, fun facts, useful vocabulary and a Spotify playlist. I also loved learning a little bit more about the chef and creator of the recipes, adding authenticity and personality to my box.
All of which enhances the experience of traveling and makes me want to go for real!
My Kitchen Trotter box centred around Indonesia. Indonesia is somewhere I haven’t been before, so I was excited to try something new.
My Kitchen Trotter ingredients arrived beautifully packaged in a box. Ingredients are nestled amongst Styrofoam for protection. The booklet also provides more information about each ingredient. I’d struggle to find some unless intent to a specialist supermarket, another advantage of a food subscription from Kitchen Trotter.
I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of ingredients included. Full jars and sachets (not sample amounts) so you can perfect dishes after several attempts. Great, as I’m not the best cook! Included were four recipes (one starter, two main courses and one dessert).
Recipes couldn’t be easier to follow. Split into a shopping list, steps, tips and tricks, cooking times and difficulty, not to mention gorgeous pictures of how it should look!
Here are the four dishes I made.
There’s also a clue to next months country. I’m guessing Turkey.
