Why do you love travel?

Travel always brings in a new, broader perspective for me. It’s easy to get hung up on immediate worries and blow them out of proportion. Traveling lets you step back, see life through a different lens, and hopefully let you both grow and be grateful for all that you have.

What destination is top of your bucket list?

I’ve yet to visit South America. I’d love to see the major cites, and Easter Island continues to entice me with its mystery.

Where is your most favourite place you have travelled to?

I can’t pick one favorite, but I never grow tired of going back to Japan. From Zen temple stays to Harajuku street style, there’s so much to experience, and always new regions to discover. And the sushi, ramen and other local foods are beyond comparison.

What is your most favourite memory or experience whilst travelling?

I’ve had a lot of memorable travel TV hosting jobs, including being Andrew Zimmern’s guide on Bizarre Foods. I recently shot a network TV show in Hong Kong, where I danced through the streets of busy Mongkok with a handful of celebrities!

What is your favourite photo from your travels?

Iceland mesmerized me, with its myths of hidden folk and science fiction landscapes. I loved capturing the feeling of being in Iceland’s nature, in this photoshoot taken in an elf park. More of these magazine cover images are on my La Carmina blog.
