We’re excited to have Angela from Where Angela Wanders tackle our Five Travel Questions! Find out about the incredible time Angela went on safari and more!
Why do you love travel?
I love the freedom it gives you to get away from the norm at home and discover new cultures, food and landmarks. I also love meeting new people while travelling whether they be locals or fellow travellers. Its great having a conversation with a complete stranger who is interested in your stories and from who you can learn something new.
What destination is top of your bucket list?
Japan. I would love to experience the Japanese culture and visit this amazing country. A tea ceremony in Kyoto would be top of my list of things to do and of course, a ride on the bullet train!
Where is your most favourite place you have travelled to?
This is a tough one as there are a few that tie in first place but if I had to choose just one it would be Vietnam. It is such a magical place with ancient cultures, amazingly friendly people and fantastic food. I travelled around Vietnam in 2018 and it was one of the most memorable places I have ever been. My second choice would be South Africa for all the animal experiences that you can have there. Going on safari is magical; I cried when I saw my first giraffe strolling past me.
What is your most favourite memory or experience whilst travelling?
An experience in South Africa when we went out on safari and ended up being in the middle of a pride of feeding lions with their cubs. It was both a scary and amazing experience and one never to be forgotton as we listened to them crunch through the bones of their carcass!
What is your favourite photo from your travels?
This was taken in the Blue Mountains in Australia during a 3 month trip around the world. As I looked out I was contemplating on how fortunate I was to be able to experience such natural beauty and giving thanks that I had the chance to travel to such incredible places.
