The next blogger to answer our five travel quesetions is Angie from SilverSpoon London! Not only does she have some pretty luxurious experiences in London, she’s had some pretty amazing adventures around the world!
Why do you love travel?
I love seeing the world and visiting amazing places that are completely different to anything I’ve seen before. My blog focuses on luxury so I like to see the world in style but still retaining at element of adventure! I’ve stayed in an elephant sanctuary, in the heart of the rainforest, in villa over the sea and in the middle of the desert, all in amazing accommodation.
What destination is top of your bucket list?
It’s been a dream of mine to travel to South Africa and explore Cape Town, the Garden Route, The Winelands and then travel to Kruger Park to experience the ultimate safari adventure. I have booked to do this next year and I am incredibly excited to have the experience coming up. I also dream of visiting Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Vietnam and Malaysia, so many places, so little time!
Where is your most favourite place you have travelled to?.
I think Australia it’s the most incredible country I’ve ever been to. From rainforest, to desert, mountains, city there’s everything you can imagine and the vast spectrum of colour that you see. The blues of the mountain and lush greens of the forest in contrast to the rusty red desert.
I also absolutely adore Thailand for fantastic service, beautiful accommodation and incredible scenery. While Italy is my favourite place for food and culture, you can’t beat the States for great restaurants and nightlife!
What is your most favourite memory or experience whilst travelling?
That’s a very easy question, I have to say our time in Sydney. We took a seaplane to a remote beach hotel ate incredible seafood and drank lots of champers. Later my other half took me to a secluded cliff top and asked me to marry him. You can’t beat a memory like that 🙂
What is your favourite photo from your travels?
Though I love seeing the world, I’m certainly not the bravest person: I have no head for heights, terrified of creepy crawlies and I don’t even like swimming in the sea! So I was really proud of myself for riding bareback on an elephant in Thailand. And here’s the photographic evidence to prove it!
