Why do you love travel?

For me travel is all about taking a step outside your comfort zone. It might be a cliché but it’s true. You see new places, learn new things, meet new people. There’s no other activity with such an immediate and long-term gain and I truly feel nothing has taught me more stuff than traveling.
But for me the most surprising thing I found out about traveling is how much you learn about yourself. It’s super transformational (the idea that people don’t change is A LIE!) and the amount of experiences and situations you’re involved whilst traveling, most of them unexpected ones, is astonishing.

What destination is top of your bucket list?

My ultimate bucket list destination is The Amazon. It’s one of the remotest places on Earth where I’m sure we are crushed as the insignificant creatures we all are. Perhaps the biggest misconception around human kind is that we rule this planet. Nope. Mother Nature does and I love places where that is evident.

Where is your most favourite place you have travelled to?

I fell in love with Malta. It’s the perfect mix between the eastern and the western cultures, with a big plus: azure crystal clear waters and warm sunny weather all year round. Food is good, people are super nice. A must come-back for me!

What is your most favourite memory or experience whilst travelling?

Uff, though to choose, there are so many! Barcelona marked me because it was my first time solo traveling. I met awesome people in only a week, had a great time in Festas Major de Grácia and enjoyed the city so much I’ve chosen Barcelona as my home since last year. 🙂

What is your favourite photo from your travels?
Very recently someone took pretty cool photo while we were hiking in São Miguel, Azores. I guess it’s one of my favorites because it says a lot about me and the way I see the world: it conveys how much I love outdoor activities and the direct contact with nature. I could spend a whole afternoon just looking at this scenery. Plus, it’s my home island so it’s literally a piece of me!
