We love travel tips here at Elite Travel Blog and I’m pleased to have Gessell from Gessell and Lee answer our Five Travel Questions. They provide great first hand tips for travelling with baby in tow not mention visiting lots of interesting places in the process. She’s also written an amazing post about A Mom’s Guide To Traveling Sane – check it out!
Why do you love travel?
I love travel because I get to explore other cultures and other ways of life. I’ve been interested in other cultures since I was a child. Back then I could only read about far away places in books. Now I’m old enough to travel and experience these things outside of books and it’s amazing. It’s not only interesting to see how people may live differently, but it’s also important in fostering an understanding of others. I’m glad that I get to share this with my child.
What destination is top of your bucket list?
I’m in love with the idea of doing a road trip though Italy. I would love to take a few weeks and explore the country. I know a few weeks are not nearly enough, but it would be a good start! I’d begin in Venice and work my way down to Naples. The people in Italy are so friendly and the food is so amazing. I had a fantastic time in Rome and can only imagine how extraordinary the rest of the country is.
Where is your most favourite place you have travelled to?
This is a tough one. I loved hiking in Scotland, biking in Ireland, and snowboarding in the Czech Republic. Each of my trips has brought a newfound love of the area to life. I don’t think I could pick just one!
What is your most favourite memory or experience whilst travelling?
It was during our first overseas vacation together that my now husband proposed to me. I’m pretty sure not much is going to be able to top that memory.
What is your favourite photo from your travels?
This picture from Bergen op Zoom is one of my favourites. While I love travelling to the big European cities, I find it charming to go to lesser-known places as well. This is one of those places that is just as enchanting as some of the big cities that I’ve been to in Europe yet we were some of the few tourists there.
