Why do you love travel?

I love to travel because it is when I feel the most alive. Travel gets you out of your own life and into experiences beyond your world. How fortunate we are to be able to be part of it. I live a pretty busy life, with three young boys and my own dental practice, so I appreciate how much beauty is out there- even right around the corner from where we live.

What destination is top of your bucket list?

Top of my bucket list right now is Great Britain and Paris. I love reading and history and they are pretty accessible for me to get to.

Where is your most favourite place you have travelled to?

I loved my recent trip to Iceland. It was unbelievably beautiful and otherworldly, the people were friendly and the food was excellent. I went with wonderful people. I also love SCUBA diving and the atoll in Moorea made the water calm and the sea life very accessible. I am amazed at the vastness and power of the Grand Canyon.

What is your most favourite memory or experience whilst travelling?

I had an amazing time travelling around Northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia with my father. Special because of all of our adventures, but also because of the unique time with my dad and that we travel similarly. Slovenia was a country that I didn’t expect much of, maybe because it isn’t highly publicized, but I found it beautiful and the people so friendly. One of my favorite memories of that trip is ending up in a church in Salzberg at night, with only us there, and hearing, but not seeing, the monks sing their nightly vespers.

What is your favourite photo from your travels?

I loved Jokulsarlon, the glacier lagoon, in Iceland. It was the prettiest, most peaceful place I have ever been and I couldn’t stop taking pictures of the glaciers floating out to the sea.
