Why do you love travel?
It’s great to meet new people both local and travelers from around the. Though, for me it’s mostly the smaller things that you don’t expect will happen. When I think back they bring a smile to my face. E.g I jumped in a tuk tuk last week to drive me across Bangkok. It was such great fun racing through traffic and listing to my IPod. Or when people from other cultures are acting so differently to what you’re used to and you can’t help but laugh.
What destination is top of your bucket list?
Iceland! So many movies, especially sci fi’s and fantasy were filmed here. Batman Begins, Oblivion, Prometheus, The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty, Interstellar. The landscape looks so diverse and alien. They’ve produced some great music, Bjork, Sigur Ros, Mum. Also I really want to go to Sonar Festival in Reykjavik. That would be really special.
Where is your most favourite place you have traveled to?
Two places: India because it’s such a challenge to be there and so different than any place I’ve been. Vietnam, so many activities, met some great people, beautiful scenery and great food. I was on a diet of noodle soup and sandwiches for a month!
What is your most favourite memory or experience whilst traveling?
In Vietnam a friend and I rented a moped and drove from Hoi An to Hue via a route called the Hai Van Pass. The views from the top of the mountain were spectacular. This solidified my love for cruising around Southeast Asia by motorbike.
What is your favourite photo from your travels?
This sunset picture Otres Beach, Cambodia perfectly captures my 8 days there. It’s the best photo I’ve ever taken. No filters, no editing and with my IPhone 4. I started traveling with a group of people I met in Laos before Christmas and after 8 weeks we needed a holiday from our travels. Otres Beach was the perfect place. It’s my favourite beach in Southeast Asia
