We have another of our favourite travel bloggers taking on the Five Travel Questions challenge! Female Solo Traveler Sarah from Ready Steady Travel reveals her top travel memories!
Why do you love travel?
That’s like asking why does a kid love sweets? It’s just amazing, exhilarating and no day is ever the same. The places are beautiful, the people are fantastic and each culture and way of life just opens your eyes. The experience changes you.
What destination is top of your bucket list?
I always wanted to live in Australia when I was little. Now that I have my working/holiday visa approved, in December I can cross that one off. I really want to head to Africa and live in Costa Rica for a while. Experience Holi and the Chinese New Year.. Skydiving… Paraglide over Rio de Janeiro.. Ha, I know you said one, but how can I possibly choose with all that the world has to offer?
Where is your most favourite place you have travelled to?
Ottati was a wonderful little stereo typical Italian village. The sort where old ladies gather for a gossip on their doorsteps and hang their knickers on their balconies. Ottati is located up in the mountains about 2 hours south of Naples. It is truly stunning and the views are spectacular. They serve the most amazing food as well. Another stereotypical thing about Italy! Nutella pizzas, enough said.
What is your most favourite memory or experience whilst travelling?
Once again, so many! But if I had to choose just one, I would say learning to scuba dive on Koh Tao. They say that exploring beneath the sea is the closest that you can come to experiencing another world. And that is exactly what it was like. It’s hard to describe, but if you haven’t already, go and get your open water divers license.
What is your favourite photo from your travels?
This was taken on Koh tao, and I will never forget my first experience of watching the sunset over the ocean.
