We love our travel photos here at Elite Travel Blog because they provide so much wanderlust. We’ve recently discovered the talented Vio of Photo Dudau. Find out about his favourite memory whilst travelling – it won’t disappoint…
Why do you love travel?
I don’t know the answer, I’ve never asked myself this question. Truth is, I don’t really love to travel, it’s just my nature. Ever since I was a child, I’ve always felt comfortable on the road. Probably because I get bored very very fast, and I always need something new in my life, I don’t know, it just comes naturally to me. I guess traveling is like breathing: I don’t really love breathing, but I’ll die if I stop doing it.
What destination is top of your bucket list?
Now that I’ve visited most of the major locations in Europe, I think I’d really like to see New York. But that’s not how I plan my trips, I don’t have a bucket list. I’m just reading a blog, or see a commercial, or even a movie shot in a certain place, and decide on the spot: I want to go there! And, sometimes, I browse the airlines’ websites for cheap tickets. It’s rather spontaneous.
Where is your most favourite place you have travelled to?
I have more favourite places. I love London for city breaks, you can find everything there: shopping, sightseeing, good food, countless museums and great photo spots. For longer stays, I prefer Tenerife, the island of eternal spring and lovely hotels. And when I need something different, I like to go to Venice, because it’s just different than any other city.
What is your most favourite memory or experience whilst travelling?
There were plenty of great moments, but the most notable was when I proposed to my wife on the plane, nine years ago. I wanted to wait until we get to the destination, but while we were flying I thought to myself “it’s not really about a certain destination, it’s about traveling, we both love to explore”, so I decided to go for it right there in the plane. At first, she thought I’ve found the ring in the plane and I was making a joke, it was a pretty funny moment. But fortunately she said yes after a few seconds.
What is your favourite photo from your travels?
I’m a photographer on Dreamstime agency, so my photography routine, while traveling, includes both personal and professional photos.
From my personal photos I like this one from Venice the most because it’s one of those rare shots with me in it:

As for professional photos, I have plenty of favourites, but let me show you this one I shot in Madrid, directly from my room:
