7 Indulgent French Toasts In London

French toast reminds me of my childhood. I remember slathering (way too much) syrup on my french toast at home. It also reminds me of eating french toast in Hong Kong (peanut butter that melts in the middle). So I was excited to see where in London has the best french toast. Here they are!

Crome

We start with London’s first French toast café and maybe one of the most Instagrammed dessert places in London (the other being Humble Crumble). And quite rightly. Menu highlights include Lotus Biscoff sauce and caramelised banana and pistachio sauce, crushed pistachios, raspberries & Persian candy floss. Located near Selfridges and Bond Street, its the perfect place to rest in between a shopping spree.

EL&N

One of the best cafes in London, EL&N makes me drool every time I walk past their window. It’s no wonder why they’ve expanded to several location across the city. There’s four french toast flavours to choose from including nutella, lotus and banana, maple and pistachio. EL&N are also on my list of best milkshakes in London. Also check out their huge cube croissants.

Drury 188-189 Café

If you prefer your french toast fruity, Drury 188-189 Café have one of the best in London. You certainty get your moneys worth as it’s topped with raspberries and blueberries, along with pistachios and Greek yoghurt. Oh, and if that wasn’t fruity enough, there’s raspberry jam on the inside. Drury 188-189 Café is located near Seven Dials Market.

Christopher’s

Christopher’s is synonymous with french toast in London. Slightly on the pricier side compared to others in this list at £18, but if you’re celebrating a special occasion, Christopher’s offers more than just french toast. Choose between milk or dark chocolate for your brioche French toast. Christopher’s is located near Somerset House and West End theatres.

18 Wellington St, London WC2E 7DD (Google Map directions).

Violas

What’s better than French toast? When it’s combined with dessert. Violas only has one French toast on their menu, but when it’s this good, do you really need any more? This Tiramisu French Toast features a toasted brioche, creme fraiche and bitter chocolate, costs £16 and is vegan friendly.

38 Tavistock St, London WC2E 7PB (Google Map directions).

The Laundry

An alternative take on the tiramisu French toast, The Laundry’s bursts with heavenly cream when you slice it open. The Tiramatoast costs £15.

374 Coldharbour Ln, London SW9 8PL (Google Map directions).

Duck And Waffle

I think Duck And Waffle is worth the hype. One of the more expensive French toasts on this list at £19.50, their creme brulee French toast with berry compote looks worth every penny.
