How To Get To Whitstable
By train:
- From London St Pancras International: Take a Southeastern high-speed train — journey time is around 1 hour 15 minutes.
- From London Victoria or Cannon Street: Slower services are available, taking 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes depending on the route.
Whitstable train station is less than a mile from the beach — about a 10–15 minute walk through the town. The route takes you past shops and cafés, ending at the harbour and shingle shoreline.
Parking:
There are several car parks located in Whitstable which are all pretty expensive. I would actually recommend parking for free in Tankerton and walking 15 minutes by the sea to Whitstable if you are able to.
